Monthly Chapter Meetings and Other Events

The chapter holds monthly luncheon meetings, generally on the second Thursday of each month. Both members and non-members are welcome at these lunches. Each lunch includes an educational presentation, and the chapter provides 1 CPE. Upcoming chapter events are below. We encourage attendees to register for lunches in advance online. Registration at the door is allowed as space is available.

SecureWorld 2013
The Willamette Valley ISACA Chapter Board is glad to announce another local training event partnership. We have partnered with SecureWorld Expo for the June 2013 event here in Portland. We will be hosting a booth as well as extending a discount for our members and guests.
What is SecureWorld?: A Regional Conference formed to promote the ideals of fostering communication between security professionals and technology leaders, to discuss best practices and to bind that body of thought in a public/private partnership with Government. Security in the 21st Century will be a driving principle for Business and Government and SecureWorld Expo will drive that discussion.
Why has our ISACA Chapter partnered with SecureWorld Expo for this event: This event brings technical information security information to our members, whether they are CISA’s, CISMs, CRISC or CGEITs. We have asked other ISACA chapters who have partnered with SecureWorld in other regions and have heard great feedback. Therefore, since this event aligns with our mission of bringing cost effective and quality CPE to our members, we have decided to embrace this inaugural Portland event.
